– Advanced Candela PicoWay laser technology
– A clean, professional, and comfortable environment

We don’t rush the process and we don’t over-treat.
The Candela PicoWay laser uses ultra-short, photo-acoustic pulses that shatter pigment into microscopic particles, allowing the body to gradually clear them.
This makes PicoWay especially suited for eyebrow tattoos and cosmetic pigment.
We assess your PMU history, pigment type, skin condition, and goals. A small test spot is performed (typically at the tail of the brow) to determine safe, effective settings.
Using PicoWay technology, we target unwanted pigment with controlled energy. Brow hair is not affected by the laser.
You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to support proper healing and optimal pigment clearance.
Treatment plans vary depending on saturation, depth, and previous PMU techniques.
(Note: a complimentary consultation will be required before starting treatment)

Our results reflect careful planning, conservative treatment, and respect for delicate facial skin.

Expect some redness and swelling, which should diminish in the next few days. Red or warm brows may take longer to heal and might appear more red compared to treating black/brown brows. Consider using an ice pack on your brows at home to reduce redness and swelling.
Completing a permanent makeup removal or fading only takes a few minutes. When removing PMU, the factors contributing to treatment time are size and colour. Most tattoos require several sessions to remove, with spacing of 8 to 10 weeks in between each session.
Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that penetrate the top layers of the skin (1 to 3 mm). The tattoo pigments are selectively absorbing the lasers energy, causing the pigments to fragment without damaging the surrounding skin. The body’s immune system starts attacking the shattered ink pigments. Lastly, the pigments are naturally cleared. Several sessions are needed for tattoo clearance depending on the depth and quality of ink. (This procedure is bloodless.)
With the Syneron Candela PicoWay laser system,
The number of treatments needed varies for each individual and tattoo due to uniqueness. Factors like tattoo age, ink type, depth, and color influence the required number of sessions. Typically, brow removal entails 2-4 sessions, depending on factors like brow color, tattoo darkness, and pigment depth, with sessions scheduled 8 weeks apart.
Our broad range of wavelengths allows us to treat all skin types and colors effectively.
Refrain from sun exposure before and after the treatment. Steer clear of using skincare ingredients like Retinol, Retin-A, or acids on your brows for a few weeks pre and post-treatment. The duration may differ depending on the potency of the products’ active ingredients.
The PicoWay is a remarkably innovative triple-wave picosecond laser from Syneron Candela. The triple wavelength allows for treatment of all tattoo colours and types, including recalcitrant tattoos on any skin type. The picosecond pulse on the PicoWay is one trillionth of a second, which is 1000 times faster than the nanosecond pulse. When combining with its high power peak, the laser energy is delivered so rapidly that even the smallest pigment fragments will shatter, allowing the body to remove the particles much faster than nanosecond technology. Therefore, with PicoWay technology, tattoos are affected by not only selective photothermolysis, but also subsequent photo-acoustic shock-waves that result in caviation of the smallest ink particles, promoting phagocytosis, the body’s natural elimination process.
With photo-acoustic, the laser energy is delivered so rapidly that even the smallest pigment fragments will shatter. For photo-thermal, the laser energy is delivered more slowly so that only the larger pigment fragments will shatter. Nanosecond lasers have proportionally more photo-thermal action, which heats the pigment and the surrounding tissue. The PicoWay’s picosecond technology delivers photo-acoustic peak power and shatters the ink pigment with the little photo-thermal effect – thus ensuring that the surrounding tissue does not receive any heat. Q-switched lasers use nanosecond technology delivering photo-thermal, and a small amount of photo-acoustic, energy. The surrounding tissue is traumatized with the ink pigment being slowly heated and broken down. As a result, the skin needs more time to heal between treatments and the ink particles need more treatments to break down.
The PicoWay can remove tattoos on Fitzpatrick skin types I through VI. We require a consultation prior to your first treatment. During the consultation we will go over the process with you and discuss any factors that may affect your permanent makeup removal. From there, if you decide you would like to proceed with the treatment, we will do a mandatory patch test on your tattoo to ensure that there are no adverse reactions from the laser and there is a positive healing process. If you would like to know an estimated price of your tattoo removal prior to booking a consultation, you can e-mail us a photo of the tattoo to be removed at bushwhackedlaser@gmail.com.
Every individual has a different threshold for pain. Like getting a tattoo, it also depends on the area being treated. The treatment time is quicker.
Removing permanent makeup is a quick procedure that is generally well-tolerated. The sensation is often described as similar to hot rubber bands snapping on the skin, and it is typically less painful than body tattoo removal. Using ice packs to cool the skin if necessary.
For anyone requiring pain control, purchasing a tube of Zensa Topical Anaesthetic can be done at our lounge for a fee of $45 +gst. Applying this prior to your appointment. If you would like numbing at our lounge by our tattoo removal specialist for 30 minutes at a fee of $25 +gst. Using pain medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen that thin blood and promote bruising are not recommended.
Blisters may occur after treatment but, when treated properly, will not have any long-term effects. Occasionally, hypopigmentation (whitening of the skin) may occur, but normal skin tone should return 6-12 months after your last treatment. There are minimal chances of scarring after treatment, and long-term side effects are rare.
